This Singer model 20 toy sewing machine was produced sometime between 1914 and 1922. It's pictured with box, original manual, clamp, and Singer needles in an envelope. The handwheel is the nickel-plated, spiral type, with 8 spokes, which is what helps me date the machine.
I love the marketing on this box. "As the twig is bent the tree's inclined." "Practical and Instructive." "Useful and Amusing."

This is a really nice 1950's Singer model 20 toy sewing machine with tan cloth case with leather trim (most of these toys came in cardboard boxes). The case reminds me very much of the Singer 301 case. Case measures 7.75" tall (not including clasp and handle) x 10.5" long x 4.5" wide at base. It's trapezoidal like the 301 case, but the corners are not as rounded. The TSM slides into two groves for a secure hold - see second picture. There is some sort of elastic, ruffled holder on the inside of the lid, but I don't know what it held.
