Welcome to ISMACS International, the newest web site of the International Sewing Machine Collectors' Society.

Here, we hope, you will discover a taste for the first machine ever to enter the home and begin to understand the fascination that the members of our society, the first and the largest in the world, have for these decorative, yet utilitarian antiques.

Of course we can only give you a taste here. Our members enjoy a regular magazine, social events, closed to members only auction sales and a hot line to the famous Forsdyke Archive service.

Whether you have three sewing machines or three hundred, or simply an urge to know more about those wonderful old sewing machines and the men who made, and more often lost, fortunes bringing them to reality, ISMACS is for you.

Enjoy our web site and perhaps consider joining ISMACS -- the Society that supports this fast growing collecting field.

It's one thing to own a piece of history but it's a whole lot more to know who made it, when and even why.

ISMACS is an organization totally independent of all sewing-machine manufacturers, past or present and is not affiliated with any of the companies mentioned in these pages.

Please Note: Do not contact any ISMACS official in an attempt to solicit a valuation - it is not possible other than by hands-on assessment and your request will be ignored.
