To Thread the Machine
Upper Thread

Turn the top of the wheel of the machine away from you until the needle-bar is at its highest point. Place the spool on the spool-spindle; take the thread between thumb and first finger of the left hand; pass it under the projecting hook, over and between the screw head and disk of guide (F) on side of face plate nearest you, then down around the lower half of the tension (H) between the discs allowing thread to draw up and into the small auxiliary spring which projects slightly from between the tension discs, then up and into the take-up loop or hook (K) on front of face plate; then down and through eye of needle from left to right.

ISMACS is an organization totally independent of all sewing-machine manufacturers, past or present and is not affiliated with any of the companies mentioned in these pages.  Please Note: Do not contact any ISMACS official in an attempt to solicit a valuation - it is not possible other than by hands-on assessment and your request will be ignored.
